ABOUT US

Our issue are spent coffee groundsThis is what remains as a by-product in the process of making your cup of coffee. Mostly they end up in the trash together with municipal waste and among that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. As the amount of coffee grounds is not a negligible, we think it is unnecessary to handle them this way. Because only in the Czech Republic we drink up to hundred thousands cups of coffee every day...

We return the spent coffee grounds back into the soil and thus give them another chance

OUR MISSION

To cafes and organizations we provide spent coffee grounds collection service
and we connect them with community gardens, where the grounds serve another purpose.

Moreover, the grounds remain in the locality where it was produced. In this way, we support local products and people. We strive for waste-free cities.

By picking up the spent coffee grounds on an electric cargo bike we think about the environment and we save natural resources.

We show other coffee lovers, how easy it is to reuse their own coffee grounds in the comfort of their own home.

Because the biggest changes happen when we start by ourselves
and in our community - in office, in favorite cafe or at home.

Anna coordinates communication with community gardens to which we import coffee grounds from cafes. She makes sure that the gardens are happy to cooperate with us and that the grounds end up where they will be useful. What she likes about reKáva is that it gives new meaning to waste that would otherwise end up unused in the trash.
